Ganesha is one of Hinduism’s 5 prime deities. He is the son of Shiva and Pavati, worshipped as the God of Education, Wisdom and Wealth. Also, it is said that he destroys vanity, selfishness and pride. His head represents Atman, the ultimate supreme reality of human existence and at same time his elephant head represents wisdom, with his large ears he can hear human’s petitions. The items in his 4 arms are devices to cut the bondage of desires, capture difficulties, to symbolize sacrifices and to discover the sweetness of atman. Zen twist on an age-old adage! Three charming chubby ivory-look Buddhas demonstrate the wisdom hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, sacrifices and to discover the sweetness of atman.
