Description :

This Buddha is inspired by the Shaolin monks in China. Shaolin Buddhism is a sect of the Mahayana Buddhism practiced in Tibet, Nepal Korea and Japan. It has its origin in a small monastery in the Chinese province of Henan which was founded at the end of the 5th century. Shaolin Buddhism incorporates martial arts (mainly Kung Fu) into meditative regimen. The martial arts serve as a means to exist fully in the present and practice Right Mindfulness as well as Right Meditation as part of the 8 folded path.
